Welcome
Led by a local wine maker, this tour is a thorough introduction to the gastronomy and wines of Burgundy. With lectures on the Côte de Beaune and Côte de Nuits, tastings in a number of fantastic wineries, cooking classes, gastronomic tours and a whole array of local experts – from the chocolate maker to the mustard producer – you will soon understand why this is one of the most important foodie regions of all.
Staying at the luxury 16th-century Hotel le Cep in Beaune - the wonderful medieval centre of Burgundy - gives the group an excellent base from which to explore the region.
With its near complete battlements and one of the most stunning buildings in France, the Hôtel-Dieu, Beaune is perhaps one of the most picturesque towns in the Côte d’Or. It also has a wealth of wine shops to explore and numerous restaurants from simple auberges to Michelin starred eateries, many of which our group will visit during their stay.
